Nice kitty-frog...
I have decided on a name for the cat: Pollywog. It just suits her. I'm not sure how pregnant she is; if she were an American cat, I'd guess she had about a month to go, but the local cats are so skinny, it's hard to tell. No matter how much she yowls, I know she's not really starving, she barely finished half the MRE I fed her for dinner. I wish we could formally adopt her and give her an inside home, I worry about where she'll make her den when it's time for the kittens to be born.
In other news, we finally have a shoppette here on post. It's not much, but it's something. With the exception of gillette mach 3 turbo excell adamantium(Or whichever the good ones are) razor blades and Noxema foaming facial cleasnser, I shouldn't run short of any necessities for the next year. Except junk fod, hint hint. This is why I'm a packrat, because sometimes it pays off.
The mortar count still stands at five, though yesterday, an enterprising insurgent tried using an RPG as an indirect fire weapon from a kilometer out. I'm surprised he hit the FOB at all, as that isn't how the things are supposed to be used. Not that I'm complaining, mind you.
