More stupidity.
After several traffic accidents involving pedestrians who the gene pool would probably be better off without, our Battalion has declared that soldiers walking around at night must have lit flashlights with them at all times. Of course, this only applies on the FOB itself, but still, it's darkly amusing that we're no longer even pretending to be 'tactical'. :-P
Slight clarification: This 'bright idea' doesn't actually put us in any increased danger; our FOB is miles away from any potential sniper perches. It's just the principle of the thing, and annoyance that we get treated like children because some mental defectives who weren't even in our battalion got run over.
