The true tragedy of Iraq.

OK, I've been a Real Human Being for what, 7 months now? Yet I still mentally refer to myself as a grunt. Weird. Anyway:

After all this time, I think I've discovered the most pointlessly tragic thing about Dubya's Reign of Error, and that is this: Real Army Soldiers can't make fun of the Nasty Guard any more. Time was, someone on active duty could look at them and sneer at their paltry "One weekend a month, 2 weeks a year!" foolishness, secure in their own superior studliness and bad-assery. But now, chances are any given Reservist/Guard-person has been deployed as often as their full-time counterpart, and that's just _wrong_. At least we can still mock the Chair Force, but in the not-too-distant future, they'll all be combat veterans too! Where's the justice in that, I ask you? Bah...
