AAAARGH!!!!

Software's downloaded, one of my teammates let me install said software on his computer, it's installed... yet completing installation requires the computer to be hooked up to the internet. The internet cafe computer's are set up so that no new programs can be installed by users. The LAN at the Cafe is set up so that you need a password to connect, I don't have it, and in any case we're not allowed to hook up personal computers. Curse them! I will NOT be thwarted in this, someday, I WILL have Lego Designer up and running. Until then, I'll have stick to graph paper. Nevertheless, work on Simon's Brick _shall_ go forward! This I swear!

I honor you, and your fellow bloggers - email addresses?

I read the blog entry of one of your co-workers (we used that term when I served in the USAF - don't know if it is appropriate for the present day army) wherein he was forced to recant some of his recent blog opinions/entries - forced by this administration. I have tremendous respect for him. I sent him an email. I want you and the others who are blogging to know that this Vietnam veteran - who is a lifelong liberal and who loves our country deeply - that I respect all of you who are exercising your free speech rights within those vague and intimidating limits imposed upon you by your superiors. The american people know what has been going on. We know this war based on lies (just like the war in which I served) is a disgrace and that it shames our entire nation. Please know that I understand almost precisely what your situation is with regard to your honoring your own ideals and ethics and personal morality within the context of serving in the U.S. military. I was very impressed that so many of you over there started blogs and that you have been outspoken. I also was delighted to find out that the internet was being used by military members to meet or hook up with others serving in Iraq. Knowing that has caused me to smile on more than one occasion! In any case, I have admiration and respect for you and your brothers and sisters now serving in Iraq, under difficult circumstances in so many ways. I am proud of you. Please stay safe. Please return home intact and know that I think of all of you daily. Things are happening here at home which may bring an end to some of the insnaity we all have been seeing in the U.S. government since 2000. Crooks and liars eventually get caught. yours, thomas
