Rambling thoughts.
Jan. 14th, 2005 09:10 amI really don't want to be here. In a better world, I would have been out of the Army on my ETS date, and not have been forcibly extended. I don't think that the Army is morally justified in keeping me in against my will, especially for an elective war like this one. However, I recognize that they have the legal authority to do so. I read the fine print when I signed, I can't claim to have been deceived. It still sucks, and I'd like to see certain civilian politicians hung up by sensitive parts of their anatomies and used as pinatas. After a fair trial, of course.
Now that the rant is out of the way, these new helmets and boots we got issued are great! Ten times more comfortable that the old ones. The boots are even good enough to climb trees in! I learned this last time I was on leave; there are no trees here.
Kuwaitis all drive crazy. They don't even treat traffic signs/lights as polite suggestions.
I can't drink regular sodas anymore. The sugar crash is just too much for me. I'm doomed to drink diet forever. :-(
