LYNCHBURG, Va. - The Rev. Jerry Falwell was hospitalized in critical condition Tuesday, battling his second case of viral pneumonia in just five weeks, hospital and church officials said.

My Living Will

The sordid and depressing Schiavo affair has gotten me to thinking. I don't want a big hassle if I end up a vegetable, so I shall now declare my wishes to the whole world. To whit:

DON'T PULL THE (*&^(*&ING PLUG ON ME!!!! I don't wanna die! If there's even the slightest trace of animation in my crushed and battered frame, keep my heart pumping. Unless I _ask_ you to put me out of my misery, do whatever it takes to drag my death out. To paraphrase George Carlin, if you find an orifice I didn't know I had, stick a tube in it. Screw dignity, to Hell with quality of life, I want QUANTITY. Furthermore, I explicitely authorize any and all experimental treatments that have even the slightest, most infintesimal hope of improving my degraded half-existance. This way, even if there really is no hope for me to recover, I'll provide the researchers a few more points of data. But for "Bob"s sake, DON'T KILL ME!!!!
