Maybe I've been giving Sarah palin too much credit.

Remember that "Trig was really Bristol's baby!" conspiracy theory from a few years back? At the time, I figured it was probably bullshit, and when Bristol's pregnancy was announced, I thought that was the end of it. In the other hand, it's _possible_ that she got pregnant again right after giving birth, and the second kid was premature. But that's still pretty unlikely.

I did find her "I went into labor then hopped on a plane back home as soon as I could so my baby would be an ALASKAN, by God!" story pretty implausible, though. I found it hard to believe that any even vaguely responsible mother would be so cavalier with the life of her unborn child. What I figured happened was that there was no sudden labor, she went home and had labor induced, probably for medical reasons, being and older mother with a high-risk pregnancy. Then, being a narcissist, she concocted a dramatic story to appeal to her base.

But it just now occurred to me that maybe she WAS that irresponsible. That would be perfectly in keeping with her character too. Humans never cease to disappoint me.
