Today started out well enough. I've been staying with my civilian friend Rodney, in preparation for my great migration northward, after tonight's drunken debauchery. Said migration was to begin tomorrow, but alas, this was not to be. I went to the video store to return the last movie I shall ever rent in Savannah; In so doing, I accidentally locked my keys in my car. With the engine running. I called "Pop-a-lock", and they said they'd have someone there in half an hour. A half hour later, I call them to get an update, and they say they don't have any record of my previous call. Then they say they'll send someone as soon as possible. Ten minutes later, smoke starts billowing from underneath the hood, and I am forced to break a window and turn the engine off. This is irritating. I am tempted to send them a bill for the damages, the bastards. Near as I can tell, there is not a single mechanic in Savannah that is open on Sunday, so I'll have to stick around here for another day or two. I swear, some days it just doesn't pay to climb down from the clock-tower... On the bright side, my beard is growing in nicely.
