By this point, there wasn't any realistic chance that the jihadis _wouldn't_ have tortured them to death, but at least we can hope that the lack of a video tape means that they died in heroic fashion, taking a few bad guys down with them and spitting in the eyes of their killers.
This is the point where we should all pause to reflect that, even at their worst, the abuses at Abu Ghraib positively pale in comparison to the STANDARD PRACTICES of the other side. Morally corrupt and intellectually retarded as the Bush administration may be, we're _still_ the good guys.
