Boredom.

I'm starting to get bored. I mean _really_ bored. Things are setting into a routine, and it's a boring one. Next month I should be able to take a 4 day pass down to Qatar, for a weeend of fun, sun, and strictly supervised alcohol consumption. Then it's back to boredom again. The next diversion after that will be when I go on leave, hopefully in time for Dragon Con.

I'll have to find some way of keeping sane. I hear this "exercise" thing is supposed to fill time, maybe I'll look into that.

Bite your tongue! Bored is GOOD. I fervently hope you stay bored for the rest of your tour. (Do they even pretend to tell you how long that will be these days?)

Mike, don't worry mate. You'd probably be just as bored here as you are there. And yes I'm sure some exercise would help to pass the time, or even better, just sleeping, or watching redundant films is an excellent way to kill the time. I dunno, but atleast it's something

Peace

I'm sure I'd be bored over where you're at, but I don't know if I'd be _as_ bored. In a couple months, wanna trade? You liked this humint crap last time...

hey at least it's better than the alternative where you are, NOT being bored would mean attacks every other day.

We get occasional attacks. I've just learned not to take them personally. ;-)

Bored has its good points. If I get to the "self-mutilation-with-a-rusty-blade-to-break-the-monotony" stage, boredom becomes BAD.

But it's so much cheaper than hiring a tatoo artist...

They're not actually spiders, they're more closely related to scorpions. Fascinating little creatures...

Bugs, mice, birds. Go to Snopes to read the truth behind the urban legends: http://www.snopes.com/photos/bugs/camelspider.asp .

Note the last paragraph. _I_ was the one who emailed that tidbit to them. I have a tiny piece of history. Immortality, of a sort.

I am going to Slayercon in Houston, so I won't be able to get to Dragoncon this year. I really love it. My son says it is so nice to be among people like himself.

I'm not goth, but I do wear a lot of black and red. And eye makeup. I just love to wear it.

I did find a great coat at a goth store but it was for men and my boobs got in the way, bummer.

Slayercon sounds fun, but I'm really not much for mediacons. Proper Sci Fi conventions must be literary, IMO. :-)

God, don't tease me about making it to a con.

Found you through a comment on Gin's journal. Hope you don't mind.

"God, don't tease me about making it to a con."

I swear by "Bob"s left toenail, the one with all the tentacles, that I _will_ go to Dragoncon, I WILL hit up all the 'Barflies' for free alcohol, and I _WILL_ hit up the cute gothlings for, uh, other purposes. So let it be written, so let it be done! This noble goal is all that keeps me sane.

"Found you through a comment on Gin's journal. Hope you don't mind."

The more, the merrier!
