It's ART, dammit! That makes it OK!

I spent entirely too much money this weekend buying wind chimes and other dangly ornaments. Why did I do that, you ask? Well, next week, I'm planning to go to my college reunion. While I am there, I shall climb my favorite tree and positively festoon it with jangly goodness. This was an art project that occurred to me while I was there, but that I never had the money for. But, now... NOW, I have the money, the vision, and the WILL to make it happen. The world shall be mine, mwahahahahahha!!!!!!!!
Said tree is right next to the campus dining hall. I figure that the chiming will provide a soothing ambiance for the current students to enjoy their food. Either that, or it'll annoy the hell out of them. The latter possibility doesn't concern me, because this is all about MY fulfillment. But seriously, in the event of my demise, it gives me comfort to know that I'll have left a small corner of the world a little bit of beauty to remember me by. BTW, this is the tree I want to have my ashes buried under, so that they'll never be able to cut it down without rousing my vengeful spirit. Plus, if my relatives ever want to visit my earthly remains, they'll have to go there, which will hopefully expose my nieces and nephews to the wonderfulness that is Simon's Rock. And maybe hanging things from the trees will catch on, and I'll have started a meme!
I'll have to climb mightily to get the chimes high enough that any would-be vandals or thieves can't reach them. While I'm confident that I can climb higher than at least 90% of them, I _do_ weigh 30 pounds more than I did when I was a student. And I'm out of practice, since all the good climbing trees down here in Georgia are covered in spanish moss, which I am violently allergic to. But still, I shall prevail!
