These should be the last ones for a while. I hope...

1) People who knock down weapons that are in the office arms rack, and then don't pick them up again.

2) People who leave the sink running while they shave, and then wonder why the water runs out. (Cuz, ya know, we're in a f*#$ing desert, genius!)

3) Smokers who throw their butts on the ground. I bet if they got a finger broken every time they did it, they'd learn their lesson real quick!

4) The fact that Happy Pills shorten my attention span to that of a hyperactive mayfly. Without the mental boost provided by caffeine, I'd not be able to concentrate at all. Of course, too much caffeine makes it even harder to focus. :-P

5) I can't find any Elfquest Legos on the internet. OTOH, I could be the first to make them. Hmmmm....

Would it be possible to try some different happy pills? or would that be bad at this point in the deployment? What I really love is when people crank up the electric heat instead of the pellet stove, or putting on a sweater, and then wonder why the electric bill is so high.

I think I'll wait until I'm back in the states to play Musical Prescriptions. ;-) Until then, Paxil it will stay.

Okay, it's just so damn surreal that you have to worry about weapons falling on the ground in your office. That's just ridiculous. I'm so sorry we let this war happen.

Happy pills. I've taken them myself before. They're supposed to help with concentration, right? At least that's what the doctor told me, but then I was suffering from anxiety, not just depression, and I was given Lexapro. I'm sorry your on those too, Mike. There's nothing happy about taking happy pills, just as there's nothing happy about what leads to needing them. I can tell you from my own experience it was zen that helped me get off of them and stay off of them. I have my low days, but nothing like before. Of course, I'm not in Iraq fighting a question mark war. There's certainly nothing happy about that. My husband has gone through some serious downs in his war too. I told him that it seemed like a normal response to the situation, and that I would have been more worried about him if he wasn't affected by it all. Maybe a pill switch would be good. Do you guys have decent health care over there? It's the least they could do for you. If you want any info about the zen that helped me, let me know. I'll send you a few things.

Take care, friend. I'm thinking about you.

Hey, I was suckered too. Before OIF 1, I was as hawkish as they came. :-(

"Happy pills. I've taken them myself before. They're supposed to help with concentration, right?"

Yeah, but they affect different people different ways. The magic of meurochemistry is still poorly understood. Personally, I blame the War on Some Drugs for having brought most such research to a crashing halt, but that's a rant for another day.

I'll have to look into that.

About the only things I can think of that I'm short of are dried apples and deshelled, roasted almonds. I'm actually oversupplied with everything else; when the time comes to go back to the Real World, I'll be giving stuff away left and right. :-/

Thanks, I appreciate it.
