The cuteness!

I just got what will likely be my last package from home before I return. In addition to last minute candy, there was this picture of my adorable niece Destiny:



She is, if possible, even cuter now than she was as an infant. While I love all my nieces and nephews equally, Des has a special place in my heart, since she's the only one who used to call me "Daddy". When she was about a year old, she decided that _all_ grownups were "Mommies" and "Daddies", the only exceptions being "Gramma" and "Pappa". Still, it was kinda cool. In only a few more weeks, I'll get to visit again and spoil her rotten. Im'unna take her sleddin', an' to eat icecream at Friendlies, an' we'z gonna build stuff with Legos, an'... Glee!

There is one sad note, however: Her hair has continued 'blonding'. Soon, there won't be any red left at all, and she won't be "My Little Orangutan" anymore. :'-(

Destiny is usually "Destinoodle", sometimes "Noodlenose". On occasions of utmost formality, she is "Noodlenose Tickletoes Sillygirl The Cute".

she's also a typical pre-schooler. she has mastered the negatives and the possessives very well.
