chaotic_nippleLivejournal thinks nursing mothers are obscene. OK, to be perfectly fair, _they_ don't think that, they're just worried that they'll get in trouble with the idiots who do. Still, what kind of whackjob thinks breastfeeding is "obscene", "indecent", or even "icky"?

If people complaining about it are willing to foot the bill for lawsuit coverage, that might change things. Legal has nothing to do with whether or not someone could sue or otherwise cause them sufficient trouble to be Major Pain in the Butt. And if you have that many people, guaranteed at least ONE of them is indeed the sort to do just that if you push the wrong button.
(Here in Albany, it was determined that it was legal for women to walk around topless; still I doubt any business would risk putting posters in the window showing bare female breasts no matter what the justification would be)
